Edit on Idol: I Don’t Care Anymore American Idol

Posted on: Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 in: American Idol

A couple of things before I go…I have become a fan of Sleepy, er, David Cook. Have you noticed that he’s opening his eyes now?…Seyesha Mercado is going home before Brooke White…I can’t believe I just said that…Carly (a fave of mine) needs to lose weight and work on her self-confidence…I said that I would […]

Edit on Idol: American Idol Too Big for Tiny

Posted on: Thursday, April 3rd, 2008 in: American Idol, FOX, television

Calling this one was pretty easy. Ramiele Malubay knew she was going home. I knew she was going home. And, you knew she was going home too. She’s probably relieved, for she hasn’t stepped up and competed since she made it out of Hollywood. I’ve said it in earlier posts: this competition was too big […]

Edit on Idol: American Idol & The Friggin’ Dolly Songbook

Posted on: Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008 in: American Idol, FOX, television

Dolly Parton songs. Hmmm, not looking forward to this. Not because I have anything against Dolly Parton, but I don’t think these guys should be asked to sing from her songbook. It’s not really that good of a library in which people can show off their singing skills. This has to do with the type […]

Edit on Idol: American Idol - Chikezie Leaves on Schedule

Posted on: Thursday, March 27th, 2008 in: American Idol, FOX, television

Syesha Mercado, Jason Castro, and Chikezie. KLC got by on that heinous patriotic crap of a song, but she’s next. Ramiele Malubay is riding on fumes. Syesha needs to take note of Chikezie’s resistance to singing songs that the young, female demo who drives this show, can recognize.

Edit on Idol: American Idol Top 10

Before we get started, I would first like to say that the American Idol back-up singers need to get booted off the show. They single-handedly ruin songs on their own - all the time. I don’t think the band is that good either. On occasion, they ruin songs too.

Edit on Idol: American Idol Shaves to 10 - KLC Survives Again

Posted on: Thursday, March 20th, 2008 in: American Idol, FOX, television

KLC in the bottom three? Check. Carly Smithson and Amanda Overmyer? Whaaaa? C’mon! I’ll get to Amanda in a sec, but let’s start with Carly. You’re telling me that Chikezie … Chikezie? Chikezie, got more votes than Carly (and Amanda)? Ramiele got more votes? Wow.

Amanda Overmyer - I actually hate that song. She did the Amanda thing, which I have to admit is getting kind of tedious. I’d still go see her perform, but each every song gets converted to fit her style (I like her style, btw). Imagine her singing, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” which I actually think […]

Edit on Idol: American Idol Voters Yank Hernandez

Posted on: Thursday, March 13th, 2008 in: American Idol, FOX, Reality T.V., television

I love Katherine McPhee. Her self-titled debut is a nice pop album. Not trend setting or awesome, no killer single, but it’s a good listen. Good to see her.
Surprise, surprise, surprise! Syesha - and not Ramiele - gave Chikezie a break tonight. We all know that he was right behind her. David Hernandez and […]

Edit on Idol: American Idol Top 12

Syesha Mercado - I’m hereby withdrawing my vote for Syesha as the one to win it all. Do I think she’s the best female vocalist? Yes. Is she in the top three overall? Probably. But I’ve been saying this every week: she’s going to finesse herself out of this competition. I don’t see her coming […]

Edit on Idol: American Idol Trims to 12

Posted on: Friday, March 7th, 2008 in: American Idol, FOX, Reality T.V., television

We’re down to twelve. I can’t help but think that Cardin McKinney would be in this group and doing well. I’ll tell you this right now, I’m going to be watching out for this one to breakthrough on her own some time in the future.
She’s the total package: She not only looks good - […]
